Yes, my name really is Coburn Hawk. Coburn is an old family name and I have cool parents. I am a User Experience designer in Los Angeles. I have a passion for building systems that work well & make a difference in people's lives. My UX & product design experience includes streaming TV, subscription services, agency work, software consulting firms, SaaS product design, and voting systems. I love building world class teams and great products.
Proud to have been the Lead UX Designer on the complete overhaul of the LA County voting system. This was the mock election before the March 2020 launch.
Passion for user research: Quantitative testing provides a valuable data set. Qualitative testing reminds us that we are designing for people. A well moderated test can provide deep insights into the mindset of users and inform strategic product directions.
As one of my passion projects, I have published a Science Fiction novel called "The Middle Man." At work on more books.
